Chris Cooke announces retirement at end of 2026 season

Glamorgan wicketkeeper-batter Chris Cooke will retire at the end of the 2026 season after 16 years in the county's first team. He made his debut in 2011 and stayed in the side from then on.

Cooke, now 37, settled into the role of primary wicketkeeper-batter and held it through the years. The timing gives Glamorgan a full season to find someone for 2027 rather than scrambling for a replacement mid-year.
