Chennai Super Kings signed Karnataka all-rounder Macneil Noronha as replacement for injured Ramakrishna Ghosh for the remainder of IPL 2026. Noronha joins for INR 30 lakh after Ghosh suffered a right foot injury on his IPL debut against Mumbai Indians on May 3.
Ghosh's ruled out for the season. The timing compounds what's already a bruising week for CSK — English all-rounder Jamie Overton left earlier this week with a right thigh injury and flew back to the UK for checks. Noronha impressed in domestic cricket, including the Nayudu Trophy, and gives CSK all-round cover as they push for playoffs with 12 points.
