Dani Gibson extends Somerset contract until 2028

Dani Gibson will remain with Somerset until 2028 after signing a two-year contract extension with the county.

England all-rounder Dani Gibson has signed a two-year contract extension with Somerset that will keep her at the club until the end of the 2028 season. The 25-year-old has played eight matches for the county over the past two campaigns, scoring 262 runs with a highest score of 77. She has also contributed with the ball, returning figures of two for 31.

Gibson has represented England in 41 international matches across formats. She has scored 722 runs and taken 21 wickets in six One-Day and 35 T20 Internationals. She made her full international debut during the 2023 Ashes series.

Somerset head coach Erin Osborne said Gibson brings knowledge and experience that cannot be bought. Director of talent and women's performance Matt Drakeley said the all-rounder is a match winner across all three of her skills whenever she is available around her England commitments.
