Temba Bavuma and David Miller centuries give South Africa 32-run win

Bavuma 103 and Miller 142 power South Africa to 365 for nine; Australia fall 32 runs short despite Marsh and Head scoring 84 each.

Temba Bavuma and David Miller struck centuries as South Africa beat Australia by 32 runs in the second ODI at Wanderers Stadium. Bavuma scored 103 and Miller made 142 as South Africa posted 365 for nine after being sent in. The pair added 156 runs for the fourth wicket. Miller's innings came from 93 balls and included 12 fours and nine sixes.

Australia were bowled out for 333 despite an opening stand of 130 between Mitchell Marsh and Travis Head, both scoring 84. Jack Edwards took five wickets for Australia. The win gave South Africa an unassailable 2-0 lead and marked their sixth consecutive bilateral ODI series win over Australia since 2016-17.

The third and final ODI will be played in Potchefstroom on Wednesday. Australia captain Mitchell Marsh said his side set up their innings well in both games but failed to execute during the middle phases. South Africa wore pink shirts to raise awareness of breast cancer, with players wearing the names of cancer survivors on their backs.
