DDCA confirms security plans for India versus Afghanistan T20I series at Arun Jaitley Stadium

The Delhi and District Cricket Association confirmed security arrangements for the first T20I between India and Afghanistan on September 13. The match will be played at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. Shreyas Iyer will lead the Indian team in the three-match series.

Afghanistan hold official host status for the series, which means India will use the visiting team dressing room at their home ground. The Afghanistan Cricket Board confirmed the venue arrangements earlier this week. Afghanistan are expected to field a spin-heavy attack led by Ibrahim Zadran.

The series comes after the BRICS Summit raised some security concerns about the fixture. Delhi officials have stated that all necessary security measures will be in place for the matches.
