Deepesh Devendran bowls 146kmph thunderbolt in TNPL

Deepesh Devendran hit 146kmph on Friday for Salem Spartans in the TNPL. The 18-year-old right-arm quick took two wickets in his four-over spell.

His speed has climbed 8kmph since the domestic season began. He made his TNPL debut this month after strong age-group showings for Tamil Nadu.

State selectors have taken notice ahead of the Ranji Trophy. Devendran has two more matches before the league ends next week.
