Delhi and District Cricket Association confirms India versus Afghanistan T20I date

The Delhi and District Cricket Association confirmed on Thursday that the first India versus Afghanistan T20I will proceed on September 13. The match had faced potential postponement due to traffic restrictions linked to the BRICS Summit in New Delhi.

Delhi Traffic Police had requested a date change to accommodate security arrangements for the summit. DDCA officials assessed the situation and determined the original schedule could be maintained without disruption to either event.

The three-match T20I series will begin in Delhi on September 13 before India travels to Japan for the Asian Games. Afghanistan have already named their squad for the series.
