Devajit Saikia dismisses director of cricket rumours amid Gambhir scrutiny

BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia dismissed rumours about the appointment of a director of cricket for the men's setup. He also rejected speculation regarding chief selector Ajit Agarkar's tenure ending or changes to the senior men's selection committee.

Saikia confirmed the board is not considering structural changes to the selection process at this stage. The clarification comes amid increased scrutiny on head coach Gautam Gambhir following recent results.

The BCCI maintains its current selection framework remains in place for upcoming assignments.
