ICC Board approves shift in Women's Champions Trophy 2027 dates

ICC Board shifts Women's Champions Trophy to February 2027 and pilots Emerging Nations Trophy in 2026. England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt is fit for T20 World Cup but unlikely to bowl.

The ICC Board has approved changes to the women's international calendar. The Women's Champions Trophy moves to February 2027. The Board also endorsed a pilot Women's Emerging Nations Trophy for 2026 with ten teams and the qualification pathway for the 2028 Women's T20 World Cup in Pakistan.

England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt is fit for the T20 World Cup but is unlikely to bowl, according to coach Charlotte Edwards. KS Bharat has retired from international cricket at 32 after seven Tests for India. Andrew Flintoff was appointed head coach of Sydney Thunder for the Big Bash League.

The Hundred will introduce a combined men's and women's trophy from the next edition. The ICC plans to revive the Global Qualifier for associate teams to improve pathways to major events.
