Switzerland to host first official Women's T20I tournament from 27 July 2026

Switzerland will host its first-ever official Women's T20I tournament from 27 to 31 July 2026 at Embrach Cricket Ground. Four teams will compete in the quadrangular series — a milestone for Swiss cricket and a signal that the ICC is serious about spreading women's cricket beyond traditional strongholds.

Embrach, the venue, will host matches across five days in late July, giving touring sides time to settle before other international windows open. Organisers expect the tournament to lift the profile of women's cricket in Switzerland and across the region, though the real test will come in whether it builds a sustainable domestic pipeline or remains a one-off.
