Dinesh Karthik attributes Bhuvneshwar Kumar's no-balls to nerves on T20I return
Karthik says Bhuvneshwar was rusty on comeback and warns against repeat no-balls after expensive four-over spell.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru coach Dinesh Karthik said nerves may have contributed to Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowling two no-balls during his first T20I appearance in nearly four years. The veteran conceded 49 runs in four overs without taking a wicket at Hagley Oval.
Karthik noted that Bhuvneshwar's first and last overs were effective but the middle overs suffered from the rare extra deliveries. He added that the 36-year-old needs to guard against developing a habit of no-balls on his return.
Bhuvneshwar is expected to lead India's pace attack in the second T20I on Saturday alongside Arshdeep Singh and Prince Yadav.
