India completed a 270-run victory over England in the one-off women's Test at Lord's on day four. Yastika Bhatia and Kranti Gaud delivered key contributions that set up the commanding total. England were bowled out for 186 in their second innings.
Sophie Ecclestone scored a maiden Test fifty during the chase before the hosts fell short. Tammy Beaumont and Heather Knight ended their international careers after falling cheaply in the final innings. Heather Knight later announced her retirement from international cricket after 320 appearances.
The result caps a dominant performance by the Indian side in the first women's Test staged at the historic venue. India now prepare for the upcoming ODI series against England that begins on July 14.
