England eliminated from tri-series after three straight defeats

England suffered three consecutive defeats in the ODI tri-series and were eliminated from contention for the final. Sri Lanka chased 430 against England and defeated Pakistan by eight wickets, confirming England's exit.

Will Jacks said the remaining matches replicate World Cup-style pressure that cannot be replicated in training. He recalled England's 2019 World Cup campaign, when the team lost group games before winning their last two.

Sam Curran conceded 103 runs from nine overs against Sri Lanka, the worst ODI figures by an England bowler. Pakistan and Sri Lanka will contest the final in Lahore on October 31.
