Ex-India star urges CSK to consider new captain for 2027

A former India player has called on Chennai Super Kings to seriously consider appointing a new captain for IPL 2027. The franchise has missed the playoffs in each of the last two seasons since winning the title in 2023.

The suggestion follows ongoing discussion about leadership direction inside the CSK setup. No official statement has come from the franchise on future captaincy plans.

CSK are expected to finalise their leadership group during the pre-auction meetings later this year.
