Finn Allen says he needs more wood than Mongoose bat provides

New Zealand opener Finn Allen said he needs as much wood as possible on his bat and has no plans to use the Mongoose willow despite working with Matthew Hayden at the European T20 League. Allen represents Glasgow Cosmic, co-owned by Hayden who used the Mongoose bat during his IPL career.

Allen said he had good conversations with Hayden about improving his game during the tournament in The Hague and Dublin. He described the experience as enjoyable and noted the opportunity to work with one of the best openers in the game.

Allen praised Ishan Kishan as the best T20 batter at present and said Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is incredibly talented with bat swing and power that makes him special to watch. He said Sooryavanshi will be one of the best ever at T20 cricket.
