Former India batter who scored 7134 first-class runs banned by BCCI for bribing selectors

A former India batter who played one ODI and scored 7134 first-class runs at an average of 54.45 has been banned by the BCCI. The player, who shared the best cricketer award with Sachin Tendulkar in Bombay junior cricket, was found to have bribed selectors with Rs 10 lakh each.

The BCCI announced the ban after an investigation into corruption allegations. The player's India career lasted just one ODI despite his domestic success.
