Gautam Gambhir backs India despite WTC final pressure

Rahul Dravid said India's road to the WTC final might be tough, but he refuses to write the team off. India are currently placed fifth in the points table and need to win the majority of their remaining matches to reach the final.

Dravid noted that the Sri Lanka series is an important first step, but India still have plenty of work to do. The team has made a strong start to the ongoing series, leading 1-0 after winning the first Test in Galle by 165 runs.

India have also taken control of the second Test after posting 503 for nine declared in Colombo. Dhruv Jurel scored an unbeaten 115 on day two.
