Gavaskar advises India batters to play late in New Zealand Tests
Sunil Gavaskar advised India batters to play late against New Zealand's expected swing and seam movement.
Sunil Gavaskar advised India's batters to play the ball as late as possible when they face New Zealand in the two-Test series. He said the approach would help cover movement off the pitch in conditions expected to offer swing and seam.
Gavaskar questioned the decision to schedule only two Tests, saying every World Test Championship series should have at least three matches. He noted that two Tests do not always produce a result.
India's Test squad includes Jasprit Bumrah, who returns after missing the Sri Lanka series due to a knee injury. The first Test begins on November 19 at the Basin Reserve in Wellington.
