Gloucestershire to rebrand as Bristol for T20 Blast from 2027
Gloucestershire will rebrand as Bristol for the T20 Blast from 2027, the club announced on November 5. The board approved the change on November 4, and a members' meeting is scheduled for Thursday evening in Cheltenham.
Jenny Hall, the club's head of audience development, said the move targets Bristol's student population of roughly 70,000. Gloucestershire reached a debt-free position in 2025 after years of financial restructuring.
The men's team won the T20 Blast title in 2024 and reached the quarter-finals in 2025. The County Championship side finished bottom of its division this year. Gloucestershire has been part of the county game since 1870.
