Gujarat Titans defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru by four wickets chasing 156 at Narendra Modi Stadium. Shubman Gill scored 43 from 18 balls with four fours and three sixes. Jos Buttler made 39 from 19 balls including two fours and four sixes. Rahul Tewatia finished 27 not out from 17 balls as GT reached 158 for 6 in 15.5 overs.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru made 155 all out in 19.2 overs with Devdutt Padikkal scoring 40 from 24 balls. Virat Kohli hit 28 from 13 balls. Arshad Khan took 3 for 22 from 3.2 overs for GT, Rashid Khan 2 for 19, and Jason Holder 2 for 29 with three catches. Bhuvneshwar Kumar claimed 3 for 28 for RCB.
Holder's all-round performance validated GT's Rs 7 crore investment per Times of India. GT won their previous match against CSK by eight wickets. RCB had beaten DC by nine wickets before this loss.
