Hardik Pandya faces fresh injury setback at BCCI CoE ahead of Afghanistan T20Is

Hardik Pandya suffers another injury setback at the BCCI CoE, casting doubt on his availability for the Afghanistan T20I series.

Hardik Pandya has been advised to pause bowling due to leg discomfort at the BCCI Centre of Excellence, putting his return for the Afghanistan T20I series in serious doubt. The all-rounder remains under observation by the medical team.

The Ajit Agarkar-led senior men's selection committee is likely to meet this week to finalize the squad for the three-match series in New Delhi. Pandya's availability had been one of the main talking points after his long spell at the CoE.

Krunal Pandya is on the BCCI's radar as a possible replacement for Axar Patel. Jasprit Bumrah's fitness is also being monitored ahead of the series starting on September 13.
