Hardik Pandya's fitness remains key factor in India's ODI all-rounder plans

India's ODI plans could hinge on Hardik Pandya's fitness ahead of upcoming series. The all-rounder is set to return later this month after a lengthy rehabilitation from quadricep and shin issues. Pandya has resumed bowling but will miss the West Indies ODIs.

Pandya has been named in the India A one-day squad for the three-match series against Australia A in Puducherry in October. His inclusion remains subject to regaining full fitness. The all-rounder was sidelined since IPL 2026.

India's search for all-round options continues amid Pandya's uncertain availability. The selectors will monitor his progress before finalising squads for future tours.
