Haris Rauf fined 20% of match fee for Level 1 breach against England
The fine adds another disciplinary mark for Rauf while Pakistan secured a one-wicket win in the same match.
Pakistan quick Haris Rauf has been docked 20% of his match fee and handed a Level 1 breach sanction by the ICC for his clash with England’s Will Jacks in the tri-series ODI in Lahore. The run-in happened during the 46th over, with Rauf at the non-striker’s end, after he queried a wide call and the exchange grew heated.
Rauf carried on disputing the decision even after umpire Sharfuddoula Ibne Shahid cautioned him, and the confrontation ended with Rauf moving past the official toward Jacks. Because it was his third breach inside 24 months, the new demerit point lifts his total to five.
England were penalised separately, losing 15% of their match fee for finishing three overs behind the required over-rate. Captain Harry Brook accepted the offence without a hearing.
