Harmanpreet Kaur breaks Dhoni record with 10th T20 final win

Harmanpreet Kaur became the most successful captain in T20 finals after leading India to a 147-run victory over Sri Lanka in the Asian Games 2026 final. The win gave India back-to-back gold medals and took her tally to 10 successful T20 finals as captain.

Smriti Mandhana scored 79 and Richa Ghosh remained unbeaten on 49 as India posted 216 for 3. Deepti Sharma took 3 for 6 while Shafali Verma, Shree Charani and Shreyanka Patil claimed two wickets each as Sri Lanka were bowled out for 69.

MS Dhoni previously held the record with nine T20 final wins. Harmanpreet now stands alone at the top of the list ahead of Rohit Sharma on eight and Meg Lanning on seven.
