Harry Brook says captaining England is exhausting
Harry Brook admitted that captaining England leaves him exhausted and that he welcomed returning to The Hundred purely as a batter.
Harry Brook has said captaining England is exhausting and that he was tired after the recent white-ball series against India. Brook captained in the T20 World Cup earlier this year, and the team reached the semi-finals. England then beat India 4-0 in T20Is and 2-1 in ODIs.
Brook is still in action in The Hundred with Sunrisers Leeds but compared to international cricket, he finds it less demanding. He said he was glad to return to the competition just as a batter after leading England against India. Brook also spoke about his relationship with Test captain Joe Root, noting that they have played a lot of cricket together for Yorkshire and remain close friends away from the game.
