Harry Brook says he wants to be the man England rely on

Harry Brook said he wants to be the player England fans and the team rely on as he prepares to lead the side in a tri-series against Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The England captain spoke ahead of the opening match against Pakistan on October 20 in Rawalpindi.

Brook has stabilised the 50-over side after a difficult period. England have won their last three series following seven defeats in eight matches. His ODI average as captain stands at 51.3 compared to 25.2 previously. The 16-player squad includes Adil Rashid and Sam Curran, who return from injury, while Jofra Archer has been rested. Mason Crane earns a maiden ODI call-up eight years after his only Test appearance.

Jordan Cox will keep wicket in place of the injured Jos Buttler. England open the tournament against Pakistan before facing Sri Lanka twice, with the top two teams contesting the final on October 31.
