Ibrahim Zadran named Afghanistan T20I captain for India series

Ibrahim Zadran will lead Afghanistan in the three-match T20I series against India. Naveen-ul-Haq is back in the squad for the first time since December.

Zadran steps in as T20I captain after the previous leader stepped aside. Naveen-ul-Haq's recall adds a proven wicket-taker to the pace attack for the limited-overs games.

Both sides will use the series as final practice before the T20 World Cup later this year.
