ICC expands Women's Emerging Nations Trophy to 10 teams
The ICC will field five full-member nations alongside associates in the second edition scheduled for November 2026.
The International Cricket Council has decided to expand the Women's Emerging Nations Trophy to 10 teams for the second edition in November 2026. The tournament will now include five full-member nations such as Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Zimbabwe and Ireland along with five associate sides.
The move follows the success of the first edition and aims to provide more opportunities for emerging teams from both full and associate member countries. Organisers expect the larger field to increase competitive depth and exposure for younger players across the globe.
The expanded format will run from early November 2026. Further details on venues and the full schedule are expected in the coming weeks.
