ICC fines Kranti Gaud 10 per cent of match fee for Level 1 breach
The International Cricket Council imposed a fine of 10 per cent of match fees and one demerit point on India pacer Kranti Gaud on Monday for a Level 1 breach during the Women's Asia Cup final against Sri Lanka. The 23-year-old was found guilty of breaching Article 2.5 of the Code of Conduct after she gestured towards the pavilion following the dismissal of Sri Lanka opener Imesha Dulani in the first over of the innings at Dubai International Stadium. Gaud admitted the offence and accepted the sanction proposed by match referee Supriya Rani Das, so no hearing was held.
