ICC fines Pakistan 50 percent match fee and docks 11 WTC points
Pakistan docked 11 WTC points and fined for slow over-rate at Edgbaston.
The ICC has fined Pakistan 50 percent of their match fee and deducted 11 World Test Championship points for a slow over-rate in the third Test against England at Edgbaston. The team finished 11 overs short after time allowances were applied.
Captain Babar Azam accepted the sanction without a formal hearing. The deduction follows England's 3-0 series victory and leaves Pakistan ninth in the WTC standings with a points percentage of 4.63.
Pakistan have received similar penalties in recent Test series. Officials have urged stricter compliance with over-rate regulations.
