ICC reverses demerit point on Gaddafi Stadium pitch

The ICC has lifted the demerit point slapped on Gaddafi Stadium after Pakistan's third ODI against Australia in June. The ground earned the penalty when the match produced low totals on a surface that looked awkward.

An appeals panel went back through the footage and found nothing excessive in the bounce or turn. Gaddafi Stadium keeps its clean record with the ICC.

That means Pakistan can stage full-strength internationals at the Lahore venue without the earlier cloud hanging over it.
