ICC to unveil 2027 ODI World Cup schedule on Thursday in Cape Town
ICC will announce the 2027 ODI World Cup schedule on Thursday; ten teams already qualified through rankings.
The International Cricket Council will release the schedule for the 2027 ODI World Cup during an event at the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa in Cape Town on Thursday. The tournament runs from October 2 to November 21, 2027, and will be hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia.
Ten teams have already qualified through the ICC ODI rankings, with hosts South Africa and Zimbabwe joining India, Australia, England, New Zealand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Bangladesh. The remaining four places will be decided through qualifiers early next year. The new format includes a Super Series stage for the three lowest-ranked teams, followed by a group stage of 12 teams and a Super 7 round before the semi-finals.
The schedule launch will also open the global ticket ballot. In India, the event will be broadcast live on Star Sports from 8:30 pm IST and streamed on JioHotstar.
