'Indefinite break, not retirement'

Daren Sammy's clarified the record: Jason Holder hasn't retired from ODIs — he's taken an indefinite break. Sammy called his initial wording a mistake.

Holder's still active everywhere else. He played in Major League Cricket 2026 for the Los Angeles Knight Riders, taking key wickets with Andre Russell in a tight win over San Francisco. He's playing T20 at franchise and international level, which means he's fit and in demand.

No word yet on when or if he'll return to ODIs, but West Indies selectors will keep watching his form in the shorter formats.
