India A bowled out for 113 on green pitch in first unofficial Test

India A suffered a batting collapse against seam movement on the first day of their unofficial Test in Lincoln.

India A were bowled out for 113 in 39.3 overs on the opening day of their unofficial Test against New Zealand A in Lincoln on Saturday. Five wickets from Simon Keene on a grass-covered surface triggered the collapse after New Zealand A elected to bowl first.

KL Rahul fell for a duck off Fraser Sheat while Yashasvi Jaiswal made 17. Devdutt Padikkal top-scored with 32 before Keene removed Sai Sudharsan, Dhruv Jurel and Washington Sundar for single-figure scores. Yash Rathod remained unbeaten on 44 from 49 balls.

New Zealand A reached 135 for 3 at stumps, led by an unbroken 132-run stand between Rhys Mariu and Curtis Heaphy. The match serves as preparation for India's senior Test series starting in Wellington on November 19.
