India-Afghanistan T20I series to proceed as scheduled despite traffic concerns
The Delhi and District Cricket Association confirmed that the three-match India-Afghanistan T20I series will go ahead at the Arun Jaitley Stadium as planned. Delhi Traffic Police had asked for a reschedule, but a BCCI official told Hindustan Times that Monday remains an option if arrangements cannot be sorted.
India named a 15-member squad with Shreyas Iyer as captain and Jasprit Bumrah included if fit. Afghanistan have already announced their squad for the tour.
The traffic police flagged concerns over match-day logistics in central Delhi. The DDCA assured authorities that crowd and transport arrangements around the venue will be handled.
