India and Pakistan to meet in Asian Games cricket final for first time

India and Pakistan will meet in the Asian Games men's cricket final for the first time when they contest the gold medal match at Korogi Sports Park in Nisshin on Saturday. India reached the final after beating Sri Lanka by 124 runs in the semi-final, while Pakistan advanced by beating Bangladesh by six wickets in a rain-shortened semi-final.

India have won their last six T20Is against Pakistan and will be looking to extend that run. The defending champions have fielded a star-studded squad including Jasprit Bumrah, while Pakistan have named a second-string side.

Rain has disrupted several matches at the venue and could affect the final, though weather forecasts suggest favourable conditions. The match will also mark the first time the two teams have faced each other in the Asian Games cricket competition.
