India and Pakistan will share gold if Asian Games final is washed out

India and Pakistan will share the gold if rain washes out Saturday's Asian Games final in Nisshin. The 2026 rules have ditched the old tiebreaker that handed India the 2023 title when their match against Afghanistan was abandoned. Persistent rain has already hit several games at the ground, and forecasters give Saturday morning a 62 percent chance of more. India reached the final after beating Sri Lanka by 124 runs, while Pakistan got past Bangladesh. Both sides have already dealt with rain delays earlier in the tournament.
