India beat New Zealand by six wickets to complete 3-0 T20I series sweep

India chased down 199 with six wickets in hand to complete a 3-0 series win over New Zealand in Wellington on October 27. Abhishek Sharma scored 113 and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi made 45 in a record-breaking powerplay that produced 118 runs without loss in the first six overs. The partnership set the highest powerplay total by a Full Member nation in men's T20Is.

New Zealand posted 198 batting first after India won the toss and chose to bowl. Daryl Mitchell and Bevon Jacobs provided the main contributions for the hosts. India made three changes to their playing XI, with Vaibhav Sooryavanshi retaining his place at number three after Ishan Kishan was ruled out with a right adductor strain.

The series win gives India an unassailable lead with two matches remaining. The teams will play the fourth T20I in Auckland on Friday.
