India beat Pakistan by 19 runs to win Asian Games T20 gold

BCCI president Mithun Manhas said Pakistan no longer offer much competition.

India defeated Pakistan by 19 runs in the Asian Games men's T20 final at Korakuen Stadium in Nisshin, Japan on October 3. The defending champions posted 211 for six after choosing to bat first. Abhishek Sharma scored 61 from 28 balls while Tilak Varma made 51 from 22.

Pakistan replied with 192 for six. Hasan Nawaz scored 96 from 51 balls but Axar Patel and Washington Sundar took two wickets each to restrict the chase. India now hold a 14-4 record against Pakistan in T20Is.

BCCI president Mithun Manhas said after the match that Pakistan no longer offer much competition. He added that India's handling of pressure situations set the team apart from others.
