Smriti Mandhana breaks Mithali Raj's all-time run record
Smriti Mandhana breaks Mithali Raj's record for most runs in women's international cricket with a century against Hong Kong.
Smriti Mandhana surpassed Mithali Raj to become the leading run-scorer in women's international cricket during India's Women's Asia Cup match against Hong Kong in Dubai on Thursday. Hong Kong won the toss and elected to bowl against an unchanged India side.
Mandhana reached the landmark with a century that also powered India's innings on a batting-friendly surface at Dubai International Stadium. The record had stood to Mithali Raj before Thursday's match.
India posted 193 for five in their 20 overs. Hong Kong captain Natasha Miles returned to lead the side after missing their opening match.
