India names 15-member T20I squad for Afghanistan series

India has named a 15-member squad for the three-match T20I series against Afghanistan. The series begins at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on 13 September.

The Men's Selection Committee finalised the group after recent discussions. Several established players remain on the sidelines despite recent domestic and franchise form.

India will travel to Japan for the 2026 Asian Games after the Afghanistan series concludes. The T20I assignment serves as preparation ahead of the multi-sport event.
