India remain in control in Colombo despite Dinusha resistance
India stay on course for victory in Colombo despite Sonal Dinusha's second century of the series keeping Sri Lanka in contention.
India maintained a firm grip on the second Test in Colombo even as Sonal Dinusha approached his second century of the series. Sri Lanka reached 229 for six in their second innings after being forced to follow on.
India had declared their first innings at 503 for nine. Sri Lanka were bowled out for 290 in their first innings, giving India a substantial lead.
Pasindu Sooriyabandara scored 92 and Kamindu Mendis made 55 in a 115-run partnership. Rain ended play early on day four with Sri Lanka holding a narrow lead.
