India's bowlers face flat pitches and high-scoring conditions in West Indies series

India's bowlers struggled on flat pitches during the ongoing T20I series against West Indies, with Mayank Yadav leaking 36 runs in three overs despite taking three wickets in the second match at Ranchi. Head coach Gautam Gambhir said the conditions need to offer an even contest between bat and ball.

West Indies posted their highest successful T20I chase against India in Ranchi, reaching 250 with nine balls to spare after Shai Hope scored 102. The series is level at 1-1 heading into the third match at Indore.

Gambhir noted that bowlers have worked hard to reach the national team and deserve conditions that allow proper competition. He said India want to keep improving as a world champion side even on challenging surfaces.
