India-Sri Lanka first ODI moved from Delhi to Visakhapatnam

Delhi ODI moved to Visakhapatnam after DDCA cites weather, renovation and pollution concerns.

The first India-Sri Lanka ODI has been shifted from Delhi to Visakhapatnam. The Delhi and District Cricket Association requested the change citing possible weather disruption, ongoing renovation work at Arun Jaitley Stadium and high air pollution levels in December. The BCCI approved the move.

The three-match series will now begin at Visakhapatnam on December 13, then shift to Bengaluru on December 16 and Ahmedabad on December 19. The T20I series will follow in Rajkot, Cuttack and Pune later in the month.

Sri Lanka will be led by Samarawickrama in the Emerging Nations Trophy, with Dilhari as deputy. Chamari Athapaththu is unavailable due to WBBL commitments, leaving only three players over 30 in their squad.
