India to face Australia on October 7 in 2027 World Cup

The ICC has announced the schedule for the 2027 ODI World Cup. The tournament will run from October 2 to November 21 across South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia.

India's first match is against Australia in Cape Town on October 7. The team will then play Pakistan in Johannesburg on October 10, Afghanistan in Tshwane on October 14, Qualifier A in Bloemfontein on October 17 and Zimbabwe in Victoria Falls on October 24. All five group games start at 1:30 PM IST.

Rohit Sharma said his preparation for the tournament remains unchanged. He stated that fitness, match awareness and intent will stay his focus despite the shift to managing his schedule without the previous touring load.
