India to host Japan in one-off T20I; Japan ranked 41st

India will play Japan in a one-off T20I on a date yet to be confirmed. India sits at the top of the ICC T20I rankings and enters the match as reigning T20 World Cup champions. Japan holds the 41st position in the same rankings.

The fixture marks the first meeting between the two sides in T20I cricket. Japan earned its place through the ICC T20 World Cup Asia regional qualifier pathway. The match is part of India's broader home international calendar.

No squad details have been released by either board. India is expected to rest several senior players after a packed domestic season.
