India to name squads for West Indies limited-overs tour

India will name squads for the West Indies ODI and T20I series on Wednesday with Rohit Sharma's availability under discussion.

The BCCI selection committee will announce India's squads for the upcoming ODI and T20I series against West Indies on Wednesday. Ajit Agarkar leads the panel that must choose both 50-over and 20-over teams for the home matches starting in early October. The T20I side is expected to resemble the Asian Games squad.

Rohit Sharma's potential return remains a talking point for the ODI leg. The selection committee also faces decisions over Rishabh Pant's availability and the balance of the pace attack. West Indies arrive after their own white-ball commitments in the Caribbean.

The ODI series begins on 6 October with three matches scheduled. The T20I leg follows immediately after.
