India to play Afghanistan in three T20Is from September 13

India will return to T20I action against Afghanistan in a three-match series scheduled from September 13 to 17. The Board of Control for Cricket in India has already named the squad, though fitness clearance for four players is still pending.

India are also set to face Japan in a one-off T20I on September 22. Suryakumar Yadav was seen dancing during Dahi Handi celebrations in Mumbai on September 5.

The Afghanistan series will be India's first T20I assignment after the recently concluded home summer.
