India yet to decide on 2027 SAF Games participation

India has not confirmed whether its athletes will travel to Pakistan for the 2027 South Asian Games. MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said the government is reviewing logistics and security arrangements before any decision.

The SAF Games are scheduled to be hosted by Pakistan, marking the first time the multi-sport event will be held there since 2004. Several disciplines, including cricket, are on the programme.

Indian sports federations have been asked to submit contingency plans. The final call is expected after inter-ministerial consultations conclude later this year.
