Irfan Pathan calls Bhuvneshwar Kumar's T20I recall a big mistake
Irfan Pathan and Ravichandran Ashwin criticised Bhuvneshwar Kumar's recall after India's seven-wicket loss in Hamilton.
Irfan Pathan criticised selectors for recalling Bhuvneshwar Kumar for the T20I series against New Zealand. The former India all-rounder said the decision was a mistake and urged the board to pick younger fast bowlers instead.
Ravichandran Ashwin also questioned Bhuvneshwar's future with India and backed Mohammad Shami for selection. India lost the fifth T20I at Seddon Park by seven wickets after posting 191 for eight.
New Zealand chased the target in 18 overs, led by Tim Seifert's 93 and Glenn Phillips' unbeaten 65. The team travels to Sri Lanka in December for three more T20Is.
